Because of their innovative Vertical City proposal, the International Federation for High-Rise Structures made Cervera & Pioz Commissioners in charge of organizing the IV INTERNATIONAL IFHS CONFERENCE ON MULTIPURPOSE HIGH-RISE TOWERS AND TALL BUILDINGS, held in November 2000 in Madrid with the title: ‘VERTICAL CITY – NEW CHALLENGES FOR 21 ST CENTURY MEGACITIES'.
Cervera & Pioz, together with S. Martín Begué, were commissioned by the Spanish Ministry of Culture to organize and design the Le Corbusier Centennial exhibition in 1987, held at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid. This was one of the most important exhibitions on Le Corbusier held around the world.
María Rosa Cervera and Javier Pioz, together with composer Eduardo Armenteros, founded the OMN group in 1983.
